An Acrylic painting depicting The Isle of Rassay from near Portree on Skye,
This painting was inspired by a summer evening I remember as I drove towards Portree.
I have introduced some warm colors such as Copper and Burnt Umber into this work to warm things up a bit. It was a beautiful Summer evening and as most of my paintings are winter scenes this has been a nice change for me.
I have used some texture medium in the foreground to help depict the shore.
This painting is wire strung and can be hung immediately although it could benefit from a frame.
