This painting is one of a series of works dedicated to the life of the forest.
In this particular painting, a birch chair can be perceived as clumsy furniture that remains in the forest after foresters and hunters. And it can also be understood as an unknown transition from natural tree forms to things that are familiar and necessary for human life. The result of a random unexplained phenomenon. The same can be said about the rest of the characters and objects in the painting. Duality and ambiguity is exactly what I am trying to convey in this series and many of my other works.
