Artwork description:

The Augusta Steps in Ramsgate, Kent, which were re-opened as The Ramsgate Rainbow Steps in 2014 having been painted in rainbow colours - inspired by the work of Huseyin Cetinel, a retired engineer who painted a series of steps in Istanbul.

My prints are hand carved and hand pressed and each will have minor imperfections associated with this way of making art.

Each of these prints is hand made and there'll be some minor variation across the edition. This was cut from a single block of lino, printing the lightest colour first then cutting into the same block to print the next colour, and so on until the final darkest colour. This means that a cut can never be repeated and the small number of prints in each edition makes these works collectable. The rainbow colours were added with Pro Markers, in between printing the two layers of grey.
