Loving couple strolling on the south bank of the Thames on a cloudy late autumn afternoon. The street lamps are already shedding their first light. And the trees on the right, which are reflected in the wet asphalt, are bare and approaching winter. In front of them lies the Palace of Westminster. And an overcast and rainy sky stretches over Big Ben.
A damp late autumn impression that gives the painting a fresh liveliness.
