Original artwork description:

This piece began with layers of blue paint which, once dry, I imprinted with a deeper blue tone using some upcycled crinkled plastic. Once dry, I worked back into the piece using oil pastels in different tones of blue.

The change of tone across the background, combined with the bold lines of oil over the top brings to mind the arrival of a rainstorm over the sea. The sky turns dark as clouds blow in, the blue deepens, and finally, rain pours from the clouds to meet the sea, creating a hazy beauty as water meets water.

This piece is signed and dated on the back and comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity. It will be carefully wrapped in tissue and foam board, and shipped in a cardboard box within 5 working days.
