This Oil Pastel on Brown Paper drawing is one of series done from life in the very beautiful location of Nusa Dua, Bali. It is a view of a beautifully mystical Banyan Tree with it’s many branches and roots hanging into a small pond. I really like these trees and their free-flowing branches and roots and this particular one being situated next to a pond had the added bonus of the reflections in the water and the occasional fish. I really enjoyed the challenge of trying to capture the different colours and shapes of the ever-changing reflections. It was drawn on a bright sunny day but it started to rain a little as I was doing it leading to the circular raindrops. I intentionally left a rough border of the original paper around the image to produce a border or frame to the finished piece. I have included different photos of the cropped and whole picture including the border to show the different framing options that can be selected. You can add a mount and frame to it according to your own preference.
A note to International Buyers:
Shipping rates have increased in price all around the world due to Covid and other complications. Due to this I have had to increase the the cost of shipping my artworks in line with the Delivery Companies. I will always strive to find the cheapest possible option for the customer (usually my local POST OFFICE EMS Recorded Delivery, but unfortunately they don’t deliver worldwide at the moment) If the amount of shipping charged at purchase is less than the shipping company charges then I will refund the difference to the customer. This refund will be done after the picture has arrived safely and has been accepted.
