Original artwork description:

I created this image originally for a design competition celebrating the month of gay pride. I wanted to utilise an image I'd painted previously - that of a paint roller liberally spreading paint over a canvas - but to combine it with the classic pride flag design by Gilbert Baker.

I liked the end result so much that I touched it up a bit using a Posca paint pen and decided to list it here. The colours are incredibly bright and vivid. You can enjoy it as an icon of Pride or purely as a summery image celebrating colour and creativity. I was also inspired to create this by some of Lichtenstein's later works, where he would paint the act of painting and drawing in his hard-edged colourful pop art style. That's why I depicted the paint roller within the image.

It is painted in acrylics on thick high quality A3 paper. PLEASE NOTE: the painting doesn't come framed, but I've taken photos of it in a white A3 frame for display purposes.
Size -
11.69 x 16.54 inches

I've been inspired to create work like this by classic pop artists like Andy Warhol, and Patrick Caulfield, but also by modern graphic designers.
