Original expressive coloured pencil and watercolour painting of a hare - created in June 2019.

Hares are a favourite subject matter of mine. I have depicted this one here with Rainbow colours, in pencils and watercolour using a variety of marks which express the vigour with which I drew it. An eraser and blender becomes tools too as I use them to blend and change the form until I achieve the character I am seeking. My intention is to develop my depiction of Hares in an expressive way and to produce artwork that inclines towards caricature at times. These rainbow Hares are whimsical and celebratory in their feel and I hope to entertain and inspire the viewer with them
