Exhibited at prestigious California Art Club's 110th Gold Medal Exhibition. Presented at Hilbert Museum of California Art at Chapman University, Orange, California 2021.
My inspiration for painting this iconic Folsom Rainbow bridge over the American River was the atmosphere, softened by golden light on a warm sunny day, and the reflections of its rainbow-shaped arches in the rippling reflective surface of the river.
Materials used to create this artwork:
Oil on oil primed Claessens Belgian linen canvas on 1/8 MDF archival art panel, finished with melamine backing that prevents warping and deterioration. Painting surface is protected with a coat of Gamvar varnish.
Painting is unframed and requires a frame to hang. It will easily fit in a standard (USA) 16”x20” frame. Images showing the painting framed in home interiors are for presentation purposes only. Frame is not included.
