Original artwork description:

Acrylic painting on canvas depicting a rain shower over Loch Snizort on the Isle of Skye. This painting was done from a couple of sketches and a photograph taken at the time between rain showers. I have tried to capture a moment when sunlight breaks through the clouds.

This painting was completed in my studio with acrylic paints using a knife and brush. I applied some texture medium to the foreground to help convey the ruggedness of the scene. The painting was finally finished with two coats of matt varnish.
