Rain shower over Earlish Point Isle of skye.
A moody painting depicting a rain shower on the Isle of Skye.
With this painting I have tried to depict a moment during a rain shower and endeavored to capture the ever-changing light patterns which can be experienced on Skye especially during the winter months.
Please note this painting was painted off and on over a period of months and the paint layers have built up quite thickly especially on the left hand side. This adds texture which I feel adds to the overall rugged nature of the scene.
This painting has been recently framed.
