In the UK we have an abundance of rain and when it falls the cities take on a certain dullness and most people venture out with umbrellas and rain coats hiding from the elements. Some gaze from their windows in a beautiful sadness in contemplation of their lives.
This abstract painting is my impression of the reflections of light, shadows and emotions residing in the city.
Painted on white graphite paper using acrylics and crayons. Comes in a black frame and white mount. A coat of Liquitex professional gloss gel has been applied to give a subtle sheen and protection.
