Original artwork description:

A special painting. Much bigger than I would work on normally and very dramatic, both in the size and in the subject. Boats racing hard towards the mark before turning for home. Sails filled with wind and masts bent towards the viewer, giving the impression of coming out of the painting. You can almost hear the complaining creaks of the mast as it struggles to support itself with all the pressure. In the background one of my iconic quirky village scenes and the deep rich blues of the foreboding mountains behind. Stand well back to appreciate the whole scene or you might get splashed with the spray kicked up by the boats! Although I have it framed in some of the photos, I will not sell it with the frame. It's just too big to ship. Instead I will roll it and put it in a tube for the buyer to frame as they wish. It will dramatically reduce the packing and shipping costs.
