Original artwork description:

That artwork is inspired by the Bulgarian folk dance "Rachenica".
Rachenica is a traditional Bulgarian folk dance. The dance is performed by a group of couples in a circle and is accompanied by music from bagpipes and drums. The couples are linked by a handkerchief held in their hands and move in a circle, clapping and singing. The dance is usually performed at traditional festivals, weddings, and other celebrations.
Usually, the music is really fast, and only experienced dancers can play it well enough.
This evocative sculpture captures a figure in gold-toned texture, exuding an aura of ancient ruggedness. The figure, with arms outstretched, conveys a sense of dynamic movement, as though caught in a moment of intense emotion or expression. The intricate details, from the rough, mottled texture of the surface to the voids and hollows, suggest an aged artifact or relic. The sculpture is mounted upon a round, polished platform, which rests atop a weathered, rectangular concrete base, contrasting the ethereal quality of the figure with the grounded stability of its pedestal. The use of raw materials and the interplay between form and void give the artwork a profound depth, resonating with themes of timelessness, transcendence, and the human spirit's eternal struggle.

Materials used:

Bronze, iron, epoxy, concrete
