This painting depicts a landscape in the center of which there is a pond with water lilies and a reflection of the surrounding nature on the water. In the foreground, dense tree branches are visible, which partially obscure the view of the pond.
The main colors of the painting are green, blue and yellow, which gives the landscape freshness and brightness. The water in the foreground is depicted in bright blues, fading into greens and yellows in the background, where more vegetation is visible.
The painting is done in a style of impressionism, using painterly brushstrokes to give the impression of natural light and the texture of nature.

It was painted from life at the Botanical Garden in Munich.
