Original artwork description:

This is my second set-up with these last quinces of the year. I used a well-weathered oak tabletop; the brown wood has a hint of green in it which works well with the yellow-green of the fruit. The dark wood and background made me want to try and achieve a bit of a Chardin-esque quality. Or at least a nod in his direction.

Materials used:

Highest quality artists' oil paint on heavyweight Italian linen canvas.
