Original artwork description:

Three fragrant quinces from the local market; the skins were partly shiny and partly covered in a downy bloom. I set them up on a white damask cloth, next to a small silver bowl, with a shaft of sunlight picking them out.

This painting is framed with a simple black wooden moulding.
