The painting "Quiet Ukrainian Night" was painted partially from nature. The idea to depict a sunflower against the background of a starry sky with a full moon came to me a long time ago.
I was inspired by two famous paintings: Shishkin's "In the Wild North" and Kuindzhi's "Night on the Dnieper". I borrowed the title of the painting from the poet Pushkin.
I painted this picture for a long time, about 6 months. I wanted to convey moonlight on a sunflower.
