As our world changed & the Covid 19 pandemic altered all of our lives, I found myself painting from a deeply intuitive space, letting the painting develop in its own way rather than having a fixed idea of how it would look. The blossoms appeared on the canvas of their own volition as I let my senses guide me.
Delicate white petals, gently stirring in the breeze against a blue Spring, with touches of 23 carat gold leaf bringing glints of sunlight.

As I painted the feeling of Spring energy rising up flooded the canvas bringing a hope for a time where we all appreciate our life & all that we have.
the quiet, contemplative time of Covid lockdown generated so many emotions & thoughts which transmitted themselves through the swaying branches of blossom. What if we could emerge from this time with a greater understanding of ourselves, what if the rising life of Nature, which has blossomed all around as humanity slowed it activities could teach the importance of looking after our planet. What if this understanding of our humanity & vulnerability could have us emerge with a new way of being & living more in tune with Nature?

Quickening brings a sense of gentle energy, hope & positivity into its space.
