Quel temps fait-il à Paris? is a lithographic plate of a coffee cup that by chance had a heart at the bottom of the foam.
This is the polyester litho plate from which a limited edition of two lithograph prints were printed, and no more are being produced from this particular image. There are 2 plates as I was experimenting with the image. I really like the smudgy effects the printing inks & presses have on the image.
Once a print run is finished the plate itself is a reversed image of the prints. It often has marks and textures resulting from the printmaking process, which I particularly like as it adds the depth of the image. Polyester litho is a thin paper-like plate with a coating one side that resembles a stone surface and can be printed from using relief ink.
This original plate comes backed onto board with a window mount ready to frame.
