Portrait of Florence Welch.
I love Florence's style, it is so distinctive and boho.
I wanted to create a piece of work that has a sumptuous feel - rich in colour. I have used shimmering gold acrylic to paint a lovely pattern on teal oil ( this colour was difficult to photograph so appears more blue in the images), and found an image of a beautiful Valentino sheer embroidered dress, so I put Florence in that - I thought it would suit her.
There's a lot going on in this painting, but it is very beautiful.
At the time of photographing, some of the paint was still wet ( hair region), hence the shine.
Painted on deep edge canvas, sides painted black.
Signed both front and reverse.
Will ship securely packaged in a hardboard case.
