Original artwork description:

I'm continuing my reflections on the relationship between music and visual art. This artwork, and the others in this series, is an abstract parallel to the beauty and balance of a string quartet, worked as a watercolor collage--on Arches paper--that was then mounted on canvas and over-painted in oils, with gold leaf accents. I was listening to the Octet in F Major when I was painting this piece. This artwork has been given a satin varnish for protection. Hanging hardware is included.

Materials used:

watercolors on Arches paper, mounted on canvas with gold leaf accents
