Quarantine, or "quarantena" in Italian, inspired a series of drawings I created during the first lockdown of 2020. As I wandered through the empty streets of London, the normally bustling city felt eerily reminiscent of a post-apocalyptic film. The surreal experience of being alone in such a beautiful, yet lonely place, prompted me to express my emotions through art. While I usually relish solitude, the isolation brought on by the pandemic felt different and unsettling. These drawings serve as a reflection of that unique and poignant moment in time.
