This piece is one of the first paintings in the work series COWS CODED I started in 2011. In the recent years it has been in a permanent exhibition and has just returned to my studio. Now I wanted to offer this piece for a special price.
'Q ZWO' is an expressive painting of two cows... large and colorful. I worked with acrylic, graphite, charcoal and spray paint.
My series „Cows coded” criticized the handling of the animals as commercial goods. Although the background of this painting is very well thought-provoking, it is nevertheless positive. The critical approach hides in the coding strip, which criticizes the human view of the animals as a consumer good.
„Pure imaging of the models is not my interest, there are always also feelings transported. I hope my art could make one see a new view of things and helps to see the beauty in everyday things, in small details and in the power of nature. But in my art I also want to critically highlight social themes.”
