About Alexandra Jagoda (Ovcharenko)

Biography

"Everything flows. Everything changes. Everything leaves a trace."

Alexandra’s impasto landscapes are emotional maps — thick, textured layers of oil paint tracing the fleeting moods of earth, water, and sky. Her brushwork is both raw and lyrical, allowing light to catch on ridges of pigment, shifting the scene with every movement of the viewer.

These are not literal depictions but distillations of feeling: the weight of a summer storm, the salt breath of the sea, the hush before dawn. They emerge like memories — blurred at the edges, glowing with an inner resonance.

For Alexandra, material is inseparable from spirit. She builds her surfaces through slow, tactile engagement, letting the physical presence of paint become as important as the image itself.

Her artistic themes explore transformation, the body as a vessel for spiritual passage, and silence as a space for inner listening. Her characters are not heroes but emotional states — anxious, perceptive, observant.

In her landscapes, nature is not a backdrop, but a mirror — reflecting the shifting inner weather of the soul.
