When spring and summer arrive, I just love spending time in the countryside, where I grow various greens for salads, including onions.

I also have an onion that, although not edible, is a real beauty to behold. It's an ornamental onion, part of the Allium family, with a whole range of varieties.

I have to admit, onions were never my cup of tea, ever since I was a child. But I've come to appreciate them not just as a vegetable, but also for their beauty.

Just a little tip:When I send a pastel painting to a new home, I wrap it in tracing paper so that the pastel layer is as protected as possible.I would suggest keeping your painting wrapped in tracing paper until you have it framed and under glass.
