A landscape of rich colours that blend and shift, in this artwork on the boundary of Spring and Summer. The saturated green is giving way to the heat of the sun, as the grass turns to crisp gold.

This piece was created with both brushwork and palette knife, and the colours are layered to recreate the atmosphere of the shimmering heat in the foreground. The soft sunlight falling from the blue sky is highlighting the clearing in the distance.

This artwork has a serene and uplifting atmosphere, and the loose brushwork and blocky application of the paint combine to create areas of both liveliness and calm.

Professionally framed in a solid wood frame, hand painted in a Farrow and Ball cream, then waxed to give a slight sheen.
