Provoking the visual cortex on so many levels, "Psychedelic Vision" is a work that questions the concept of "what is real" through deliberate distortion of the image.

This work of almost photographic precision can also be seen as a subtle nod to the rise of AI and its ability to generate spectacularly colored surreal landscapes.

Virtosu uses this eye-candied color cactus to transpose the viewer into an alternate universe of consciousness: by carefully juxtaposing colors next to each-other and then mixing them with light brushstrokes. A process of almost meditative character that the artist developed especially for this series.
