Proverbs 3(C) is the third in a series, done in watercolor and oil on canvas, which uses bright colors, bold composition, and linear elements to describe King Solomon’s advice to his son about the blessings of trusting in God, especially in my favorite verses 5-6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” This painting began as a collage of watercolor pieces on Arches paper, which were mounted on canvas and then overpainted in oils. A satin varnish has been applied for protection; hanging hardware is already installed.
