Original artwork description:

This miniature, realistic painting is in turquoise and orange colours. Yellow, red, and orange colours convey the atmosphere of early autumn. And turquoise or blue colours perfectly complement this range. This combination never gets boring, gives a feeling of joy and celebration.
How nice it is to write a still life on an autumn theme. I love the colours of autumn. However, autumn brings a slight sadness. Sadness because summer is over because soon there will be winter cold again. But the beginning of autumn is excellent. I am delighted that so many exciting fruits are ripening. Here are my favourite pumpkins, apples, grapes. Sometimes I don't even know what to write - I want everything at once.
Here is the first painting from the turquoise-orange series.
A dark coarse pottery jug resembles an ancient amphora in outline.
And this is no coincidence. After all, the ancient Greeks stored oil and wine in amphorae. And the wine also was made in the fall. And beautiful orange-red pumpkin slices are arranged around the jug as if realising how beautiful they are in their nakedness.
And from these beautiful pieces, I was going to bake a pumpkin pie. Do you like pie too?
And soon, there will be more miniatures. I specially chose a small size, because I want intimacy and cosiness. And, besides, miniature paintings in the same range go well with each other. They can make one composition.
I have had small pictures on a similar scale before.
You can see them all in the «Thoughts about autumn» store section.
