This small, realistic still life is painted in turquoise and red and yellow tones. Yellow, red, and orange colours convey the atmosphere of early autumn. And turquoise, blue colours perfectly complement this range. This combination never gets boring, gives a feeling of joy and celebration. The brilliance of the polished metal of the mug enhances the joyful mood of the picture._x000D_ I love the colours of autumn, especially in September. _x000D_ It's still warm, there are still many sunny days, but it's not hot anymore. I am thrilled that so many exciting fruits are ripening. Here are my favourite pumpkins, apples, grapes. Sometimes I don't even know what to write - I want everything at once._x000D_ After painting with pumpkins, I painted a still life with an apple in the same colours. Apple is reflected in the smooth metal of the mug. _x000D_ And the mug has collected all the colours and shades of apple and maple leaf, from white to copper._x000D_ I chose a small size for the still lifes of this fall series. Small paintings in the same range go well with each other. It is convenient to make compositions of them on walls, shelves._x000D_ I have had small pictures on a similar scale before._x000D_ You can see them all in the Shop section "Thoughts about autumn".
