This painting is of two family heirlooms that I have been familiar with for my whole life. These passed down objects have the ability to acquaint us with previous generations of our families often with whom we have never met. It was painted from life with oil paint and palette knives and so has a slightly raised, textured surface. It is on a wooden panel and so would look at its best framed
