This is a recent painting done from sketches I made last Summer. It looks forward to the summertime when a great many people walk along this pathway which overlooks the gardens and from which there is an impressive view up to Edinburgh Castle. It is a popular place for vistors to enjoy especially during the summer. I have chosen a viewpoint looking down on the scene from the road above.
