Prince 58 x 76 cm - Mixed media painting

This stunning peacock painting has been painted in acrylic and coloured pencils, the composition has been based upon numerous images from the photo library and trips around the world. I started by blurring up the jungle photos and placing them behind the peacock reference photo to see which one looked the best. Creating an out of focus background wasn't the easiest task due to the complexity of the composition. I am very happy with the finished painting, the photograph might be inferior to the amazing colours that one sees when viewing the painting in real life.
