A subject painted with gestural brushwork where the theme is that of the birch woods that I love so much. The colors are bright and expressive, almost abstract. The colors used make you think of the coming spring.
This work is part of the cycle of works on the forest and nature entitled "Silent Rebellion" which is a series of works with which I reflect on the problem of microplastics and their subtle invasive power.
Oil colors on 100% cotton canvas. The edges are painted or finished so that the picture can be hung without a frame. The work is finished with a layer of glossy water-based varnish.
