Priest cove sunset, Cape Cornwall
Such a special place,
Have to be here every Christmas,
Winter sunset with clouds like the waves,
The two rocks in the ocean are called “Charles degual in the bath”,
Dramatic and wild Atlantic Ocean.

Words and memories of being here recently on my winter holiday.
Original impressionist watercolour on extra rough textured watercolour paper 425 gsm 200 lb.
I wet the paper all over and started with warm yellow and orange washes for the sunset using a Chinese hake. Then I applied the blue in areas plus the clouds with a smaller Chinese brush. I waited for the paper to dry slightly and then applied the waves and rocks.
