Original artwork description:

The painting, in surrealist style, tells of a sense of emptiness that unfolds among the arches of the Loggia dello Spedale degli Innocenti in Florence designed by Filippo Brunelleschi. It advances in the foreground in the evanescent balances of a house of cards, whose precarious scaffolding almost imprisons the figure of Michelangelo's David. How ephemeral it has often given shape to our material lives and spiritual is also stigmatized by the enigma imprinted on the face of the collective consciousness, partially hidden by a section of the house of cards and partly revealed in the eye and the smile that shows itself to us, crossing our deepest self and probing the unfolding of new paths.
