Easter in Ethiopia - where as part of the celebrations houses and restaurant floors are strewn with grasses. The artist was drawn to the vibrancy of the colours and the communication between the young couple. This was executed in the studio entirely from a photo - it would have been intrusive to have stayed sketching in this spot...
