Original artwork description:

For this painting I used a canvas that I have heavily textured before. It is really rough. I like to paint on surfaces at times that are uneven and give a sort of raw feeling to the work.

It is called "Preparing for Attack", an allution to the shields (which in the Illiad seem to have a personality of their own) that Greek and Trojan warriors used to protect themselves in close combat.

The sides of the canvas are colourwise integrated in the painting.

The size in inches is 19.7 x 27.6 x 0.6

I added a fixture on the back of the painting so it is ready to hang.
