Artwork description:

Linocut and embossing print with the image of a dove carrying an olive branch. Clouds and postage franking shape is embossed into the paper.

The image is ispired by a franking mark. It's become important during this last year as we have all been sending and receiving more post. I started a project in order to teach online with printmaking called "Post Prints", where I would send drypoint plate materials to students in the post, they would work on those plates and return them to me. I would print them, and do a Zoom session, then post back.
It was a way of working when access to equipment was not possible, and it kept us in touch.

Materials used:

White Somerset Textured paper 300gsm and oil based inks
