This artwork was done towards the end of the second lockdown, but in many ways is a return to some of my earlier work. It was painted in several stages, the last being the addition of strong colours in the orange part of the spectrum, quickly followed by removing areas of wet paint with a silicon-tipped brush. The result is a beautiful and dynamic painting.
When it was finished I decided to call it "Posidonia" after a genus of seagrass, a marine flowering plant.
It is ready to hang and would brighten any room.
Acrylic paint applied with brushes. Additional paint added and vertical stripes of paint were then removed with a silicon tipped brush whilst it was still wet.
