When I am looking at this painting, the first word that comes into my mind is metamorphosis even if, when I was painting this my intention was diffrent.In the real world, objects cause shadows that imitates the shapes but not the colors of the existing things.This fact was the impulse of my vision.So, in this way, all of the painted leaves represent shadows designed by the physical objects (leaves).Shadows are two dimensional, but we, as painters, can create a diffrent three dimensional image using colors not just shapes.
The figure looks straight at the viewer in an attempt of connection.
