Original artwork description:
This is a portrait in acrylics on paper mounted on cradled board (i.e. a frame may not be required, depending on personal taste). It is painted in a muted palette in a modern style which seeks to emphasise the planes of the human face. It was inspired by Percy Wyndham Lewis’ painting "Mr Wyndham Lewis as a Tyro" whilst experimenting with a Matisse drawing technique.
