Artwork description:

This drypoint etching is an Artist Proof for the project '12 Disciples' which explores ex-slaves from the USA. The project will bring together twelve portraits of men and women who were slaves in the United States to highlight a period of Lost Generations of people throughout history.

This drypoint etching was created on an acrylic sheet and transferred onto thin colour handmade paper onto fabriano. This process is known as Chine Colle and is something I am exploring through this process of printing.

This print is an artist proof on the orange colour handmade paper and therefore an unique print.

Materials used:

Etching Ink, Colour Paper, Fabriano.
