Original artwork description:

The artwork uses the reference to the world of navigation as a metaphor to talk about that place, physical or interior, that we consider our nest: a place where despite the whirlwind of the outside world - the threatening peaks that loom over a reddish sky that smells of imminent catastrophe - our deepest essence can take refuge and regenerate. Maybe in a house, with a certain person, or even just in memory.

The surreal landscape in the painting is composed of natural elements recently visited by the artist: the Saent Pass in the Stelvio National Park, and the Ilot de Fazzio, Corsica.
