'Porthmeor Beach, St. Ives' is one of many compositions I have been inspired to paint since visiting Cornwall last summer. We all have special places and St. Ives is one of mine. It is where I holidayed with my parents when I was little and where I took my own children nearly every year. My breath never fails to be taken away when I look down on Porthmeor from the top of the hill. To me, it is just as beautiful in the grey rain as when the sun is out but this painting shows a gorgeous summer day, the agapanthus are in full flower and the sea is a glistening aqua.
The painting is unframed but comes with string on the reverse so is ready to hang.
