Original artwork description:

A plein air oil painting from my visit to Cornwall in May.
Painted standing on the edge of the island above Portmeor Beach and looking across, capturing the surf, and view of the beach, Man's Head and Clodgy Point.

I used to paint outdoors a lot, but it is unusual today and this has turned out rather well, with lots of passers by admiring the painting.

The canvas was hand stretched and primed, then a base painting in acrylic made before going out with the canvas. The oil painting was done mostly with a palette knife. It has been varnished and framed in a white wooden floater frame and is ready to hang.
