Original artwork description:

This fine example of my classic impressionistic artwork captures the transient image of sailing ships coming and going to a port in Izola – a beautiful, old coastal town in Slovenia. This painting hanging on the wall is meant for reflection, for those collectors who enjoy the train of thought, for both pragmatics and romanticists who like to test the limits of possible in their mind or action.

The painting has all the features inherent to my best pieces: it bends the laws of nature and perspective deliberately, but so very gently, until the distinction between the pristine blue sky and clear, pure sea disappears, making the observers wonder whether those vague silhouettes in the distance are actually more boats coming in, birds flying by high up, other reflections in the water or even in the sky, for nothing is impossible in the worlds created with oils. It has a deep, rich texture to it – extend your hand and feel the wood of the boats, the cloth of the sails, every wave, and even every reflection, for they too, when painted, have their texture, their sense of touch, they are as material as every other tangible object in the scene.

It is a mirage, except that it is not, for you can touch it, feel it, be captivated momentarily by its details. Travel there and reflect in the flight of fantasy, to find clandestine creativity and solutions in the deepest corners of your consciousness.
