Original artwork description:

"Because not everything is the color of roses" (2022) is a series of paintings that invites us to reflect on the expectations we build in our day to day. Through a palette worked in shades of gray, each work reminds us that life is full of nuances and that our perceptions are usually marked by complexity and subtlety, far beyond the bright colors we imagine.

This series, however, is also a nod to my work over the years. Pink, a color that has been a distinctive stamp on the bodies I paint, is still present in a symbolic way. Now it is intertwined with these new shades, providing depth and offering a new look to the characters that have inhabited my previous works.

It is a series of 27 portraits of bathers, this is No. 15

Materials used:

Acrylic paint
