The path leading up behind the stables at the Old Racecourse in Lewes is a wonderful walk i do often. In early summer the fields around here is always awash with wild flowers, especially Poppies.
I have painted a series of four paintings in the same theme but with slightly different viewes. The oil paint takes days to dry, although I used some quick drying medium this time, and it took me a good 3 weeks to finish the paintings.
It is painted on a deep canvas and the edges have been touched up so you can hang it as is.
